Standing Seam is a type of connection between adjacent sheets. The edges of two adjacent panels are turned up and then folded or interlocked in a variety of ways. Standing Seam designs reduce the use of gaskets and sealants, minimizing the chance for leakage. Standing Seam construction provides superior quality of diffused daylight, increases impact protection, and reduces wind uplift compared to traditional translucent systems.
